Founding Members Rob Del Riego, Bill Herbert and Sue Smith were long time colleagues at EG&G, currently URS/AECOM). They shared a passion for hard work, pride in the quality of their services, and for serving the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. The three decided to capitalize on their respective areas of expertise and forge a partnership with the cumulative capability to launch and grow a successful business.

Since 2001 Mr. Rob Del Riego has served as RBS President & CEO, growing the business from concept to contracting success.

In prior years, he worked for three major corporations, EG&G (currently URS/AECOM), Lockheed Martin, and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Mr. Del Riego graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Accounting Major, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill Herbert

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Bill Herbert is a retired Air Force Colonel with 25 years of military experience including Wing, Major Command, HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense and XXX years at the Pentagon.

In addition to his military career, he spent 16 years as a federal contractor with EG&G (currently URS/AECOM), WHAT OTHER MAJOR CORPS?, and RBS. As a result, he is intimately familiar with both sides of the “public-private” partnership.

Bill has a Master’s of Science in Logistics & Acquisition from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Art in Management from the University of Notre Dame.

Sue Smith

VP, Contracts, HR

As a founding member, Ms. Sue Smith has been the RBS Vice President of Contracts & Human Resources since its inception.

Sue possesses a diversified skill set and comprehensive understanding of the distinctive requirements for both large and small federal contracting businesses. She strategically emplaced processes for successful start up operations that will fluidly transition into the infrastructure of a medium and large business. Attributable to her expertise, RBS has avoided the growing pains and stumbling blocks experienced by other small businesses, allowing the partners to focus on building success rather than recovery.
